At Tehachapi Youth Symphony (TYS), we believe young musicians thrive when they are challenged, supported, and inspired. Serving Tehachapi, Mojave, California City, and surrounding communities, TYS provides a high-quality orchestral experience where developing and advancing musicians can refine their skills, build confidence, cultivate leadership, and experience the joy of creating music together.

Through weekly rehearsals, focused sectionals, ensemble instruction, and thoughtfully selected repertoire, students develop strong musicianship while learning the discipline, collaboration, and artistry that define an excellent orchestra. Throughout the season, our musicians work together toward a special performance that celebrates their progress and brings their hard work to the stage.

Beyond musical development, TYS is a community where young musicians can form friendships, discover their potential, and experience the sense of belonging that comes from being part of an ensemble. We look forward to welcoming you to a season of growth, connection, and exceptional music-making.
